Election Day
I am writing this before the results of the Primary Election are known on 5/3/2022. First, I want to be clear that I believe in God’s unlimited power and love and knowledge of the future. I believe the prophecies of the Bible will come to pass and they are being fulfilled each day here lately. Keep your eyes on Israel and Jerusalem, God’s Holy City.
This Republican Primary Election has had some harsh criticisms from some candidates. Throughout my lifetime, it seems we are always voting for the person who will do the least amount of harm. That is the way it is now, again.
No candidate is perfect. I have several issues that are very important to me. I cannot find a Democrat candidate on the ballot who would be better than the worst Republican on the ballot when viewed through the lens of these issues.
Voting for someone who agrees with you 50% of the time is better than voting for someone who agrees with you 0% of the time. Some say ‘It’s okay to elect a Democrat Governor because the Republican Legislature will hold them in check.’ Well, they did not hold Governor DeWine in check during COVID. What makes you think they will control a radical Democrat?
I think the slogan of the Delaware County Republican Party is very fitting: “One Team, One Fight.” Whoever wins this Republican Primary, we need to support them over their Democrat opponent. We need to try to influence them and get them to be more conservative and then work hard to get them elected.
